On March 30 VINNOVA announced that Aprea was granted 2.2 MSEK for a project for development of orally active anti-cancer drugs targeting non-functional p53. This project is based on the research on orally active analogs of Aprea’s candidate drug APR-246, currently in Phase I/II clinical trial for hematological malignancies and prostate cancer. VINNOVA is the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems that aims to promote growth and prosperity throughout Sweden, and to support research and development work of the highest quality in various areas.
